Norman Willemse
Vice President, Metal Formed Products
Norman Willemse joined AAM in 2001 as Managing Director of AAM's UK subsidiary Albion Automotive. In that capacity, Willemse was directly responsible for all plant operations. He was named Managing Director, European Operations & Albion Automotive in 2003 with responsibility for all of AAM's European operations. Willemse served as General Manager, Metal Formed Products Division prior to assuming his current position on December 1, 2007.
Willemse began his automotive career in 1976 at John Deere. He served in various engineering positions of increasing responsibility during his 17 years at the company. His positions included Industrial Engineering & Methods Engineering, Tool & Machine Design, and Manager of Manufacturing & Plant Engineering.
Prior to joining AAM, Willemse worked at Automotive Manufacturing Investments (AMI) & AS Transmissions & Steering (ASTAS) where he served as Director of Engineering and Group Manager Projects & Engineering.
Willemse is a Professional Certified Mechanical Engineer.
