Thomas J. Szymanski Thomas J. Szymanski joined AAM in 1994 as an Area Manager, Axle Assembly at Buffalo Gear and Axle. Since then, he has served in various engineering management positions with increasing responsibility including Manufacturing and Plant Manager at Tonawanda Forge; Plant Manager, Three-Rivers; Director, Corporate Manufacturing Engineering; President & Chief Operating Officer, Colfor; Director, Cost Estimating & Advanced Manufacturing Engineering; Executive Director, Corporate Manufacturing Services Unibody Vehicles, Executive Director, Manufacturing Planning and Vice President, AAM Manufacturing Systems. Prior to his current position, Szymanski served as Vice President, Operations- AAM Americas. Szymanski began his automotive manufacturing career at General Motors as a Manufacturing Supervisor and General Supervisor of Die Manufacturing and Superintendent of Production. Szymanski received a bachelor of science degree in manufacturing engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a master of science degree in engineering management from General Motors Institute (GMI). |
