Terri M. Kemp joined AAM in 1996 as a Productivity Manager, Detroit Gear & Axle – Plant 3. Since then, she has served in various manufacturing management positions with increasing responsibility including: Production Coordinator, Detroit Gear & Axle – Plant 3; GMT800 Launch Manager; IE Manager, Detroit Gear & Axle; Area Manager, Detroit Gear & Axle – Plant 8; Manager, Program Management; Area Manager, Detroit Gear & Axle – Plant 6; Personnel Director, Detroit Gear & Axle; Area Manager, Detroit Gear & Axle, Plant 1; Operations Manager; Director, Program Management – Driveline; Director, Human Resources; and Director, Human Resources Operations; Executive Director, Human Resources Operations. Prior to assuming her current position in September 2012, Kemp served as Executive Director, Human Resources & Labor Relations.

Kemp began her manufacturing career at Corning Incorporated as a Shift Supervisor. She progressed through a series of manufacturing positions with increasing responsibility including: Industrial Engineer, Department Head and Operations Manager. 

Kemp holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan.
