How do you reach, inspire and connect 13,000 people that work in 13 countries and 36 facilities around the world? For AAM, the answer was through video.

Now, PR Daily has recognized AAM with an honorable mention in its 2016 Video awards in the Internal Communications category for “The POWER to Move.”

“You displayed how beneficial video can be when crafting powerful internal and external messages,” said PR Daily when notifying AAM of the award. “You empowered your employees to share their creative ideas with a heartwarming video.”

In less than 3 minutes and using powerful images and music, AAM told its story in a way that hadn’t been done before. AAM doesn’t just supply auto parts…..the company POWERs the world.

From the Chairman and CEO to the summer co-op, the entire global team was moved by the video, which strategically used no voiceover, to remind all associates that the company mission is bigger and bolder than designing, engineering and manufacturing vehicle products and systems.

But we don't just move vehicles,” said Kristi Van Wormer, Manager, marketing and communications, AAM. “We also move the people inside them -- and by doing so, we move communities, schools, neighborhoods, innovation and imaginations. And we do it together as one, global team.”
